Simple….Acs of self-compassion begin with positive statements in the 2nd person as if you were talking to a  good friend.

(Say your name) you’re making progress. VS. You missed your goal.

(Say your name) keep trying, you’re going to get it done VS. You’re always falling short.

You get it. We all engage in negative self-criticism vs. Self-Kindness.

So, the simple practice is to make the switch from negative self-talk to positive self-talk.
